WORKSHOP DETAILS

Sicily Artist Retreats invites you to go on the road  with  us as we paint en plein air in sunny Southern California! Join us on Friday March 1 through Monday, March 4 for  a captivating look at beautiful Del Mar, California and its surrounding communities.

Plein Air is a long and proud tradition in Del Mar, known to artists for the Torrey Pines Nature Reserve and its world famous beaches.  Artists have been inspired by the Del Mar lanscape, for over 100 years, captivated by its vegetation and a networks of lagoons which sparkle with the interplay of sunlight and ocean mist.  Join us as we follow in the footsteps of early notable plein air artists such as Alfred Mitchell and Charles Fries in an idyllic view of the magnificent West.

This workshop will be led by M.Tobias Hall, instructor par excellence of plein air painting now living and teaching in Santa Fe, NM. Along with his highly sought figurative paintings,  he has an international following of collectors and students.

We at Sicily Artist Retreats offer our unique perspective to blend for you a perfect weekend  of Southern Italian hospitality and the drammatic beauty of Southern California! Dont miss out! Spaces are limited to 12 guests.
